A knowledge transfer strategy
Effective training is an intrinsic ingredient to successfully
implementing and using an Adaptive Repository solution. Adaptive offer
structured training services to two distinct groups with the express
aim to transfer knowledge. Training methods include blended learning
to help prepare, gain valuable face-to-face contact, and re-enforce
learning with distance support.
When new generic product release functionality is introduced,
appropriate level Release Upgrade Modules impact
guides are provided to enable planning to take best advantage of the
upgrade.
Operational Training
Operational training covers the training needed to introduce
and sustain the application solution for operational use. This group
itself is sub-divided to the end-users and those directly supporting
them.
End Users are typically introduced
to the Adaptive Repository because a new process is being implemented.
Adaptive implementation services may indeed be involved with designing
or advising the project team of how the new process is implemented
by the application. Custom training courses on the application, including
the standard interface controls can be provided.
Repository Administrator training can
be provided to staff that support the user community. This role covers
the application administration and user support.
Systems Administrator training can
be provided to staff that install and maintain the systems infrastructure
that the application runs on. In some organizations, the Repository
& Systems Administrator roles can be combined.
Implementation Training
Implementation training covers the training required
to design, configure and integrate a specific application solution.
Due to the possible range and depth, the implementation training builds
over three levels of proficiency. In general, the first two levels
are aimed at the business/technical level, while the advanced level
needs technical skills. Significant importance is placed on gaining
experience between levels in order to apply learning and certification.
Base Implementation Training is designed
to introduce the concepts and methodology to configure a solution
application. The scope includes Familiarization, System & Repository
Administration Overview, Configuration, and Importing Data.
Intermediate Implementation Training
builds on the Base by extending to the full breadth of capabilities
and covering more depth. It is still largely at the business/technical
level, but does introduce some more technical aspects. The scope includes
more in depth coverage of the underpinning Metamodel, extensive Configuration
and more in depth coverage of Importing and Exporting data.
Advanced Implementation Training extends
further the skill sets to cover the customization depth possible with
the Adaptive Repository. This level requires technical programming
level skills. The scope includes Extensions, Customization, release
Migration, and Integrations. |
