| MDA
Forum 2008
The Architecture of Choice for a Changing World®
Milan, Italy - November 21, 2008
The third event in Italy on Model Driven Architecture (MDA®)
realized in collaboration with Object Management Group (OMG™).
The event, organized by Soluta.net, aims at promoting the MDA
approach through a tutorial, presentations by international
experts and an expo area. MDA provides a non proprietary and
open approach to challenge the business and technology changes.
It represents an evolution to the history of software engineering
which appeals to a strong and formal separation between UML
functional models (what the system has to do) and technology
models (how to use technologies). The event, lasting one day,
will include some presentations with detailed technical content
and will describe real cases of application of MDA in Italian
projects in business sectors such as the communication industry,
banking and services and in domains like embedded systems and
CRM/ERP, highlighting strengths and weaknesses.

MDD, SOA and IT-Management
2008
Oldenburg, Germany - September 24, 2008
Model-Driven development (MDD), service-oriented architectures
(SOA), and enterprise architectures (EA) are subjects intensively
discussed in industry as well as science. Each of these concepts
individually represents a substantial contribution to professional
software development and IT management within enterprises. However,
the concepts reveal a number of relationships raising hope for
synergies. Service-oriented Architectures, for example, can
be regarded as appropriate target architectures of model-driven
development whereas a proper documentation of enterprise architectures
can form an initial domain-specific model basis for the use
of generator technology. The workshop "MDD, SOA, and IT
Management 2008", brings together experts from industry
and science aiming at aligning requirements from professional
IT management with latest research result and at discussing
common future challenges.
