Jeff Goins, President and Chief Executive Officer
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Jeff holds a Bachelors degree in Finance and Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. In his twenty year career in the technology industry, he has led companies to a high level of success in developing quality software solutions resulting in millions of dollars in revenue.
Jeff was a co-founder of Business Analysis International, a company which combined leading methodologies with enabling toolkits aimed at helping organizations manage complex change initiatives. He was instrumental in completing the acquisition and merger of Adaptive which provided the underlying technology needed to effectively monitor and manage compliance and governance processes throughout the enterprise.
Jeff has been responsible for developing alliances with such firms as Unisys, IBM, and Capgemini. He has a vast network of alliances around the world and continues to be a thought leader in acquiring and packaging technologies which meet key needs in the compliance, governance, and risk analysis markets.
Jim Bedford, Vice President Sales
Jim brings over thirty-five years of extensive industry sales knowledge to Adaptive, Inc. In both capacities of direct sales and sales management, with proven companies such as IBM, Wang Laboratories, Oracle and McKesson, Jim has brought a distinctive winning persona.
His experience is deep in software applications, consulting services, direct and indirect sales channels. Jim has been instrumental in developing a unique sales team approach to start-up sales. Cultivating that winning formula Jim brought two start-up companies to the forefront in the healthcare vertical for eventual IPO and subsequent sale to McKesson.
Areas of vertical experience include Fortune 2000 companies, healthcare, insurance, retail, banking/finance, federal, state and local governments.
A graduate of Providence College with a BS in Business Management Jim makes his home in Andover, MA.
James Cerrato, Chief Product Evangelist
James has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. James has more than twenty years experience working for leading edge software companies enabling the company’s strategic vision to be realized in world-class software implementations. He has worked in software development, consulting and product management roles and has extensive expertise in object-oriented technology, meta-modeling and enterprise architecture.
At Adaptive, James is responsible for presenting and demonstrating Adaptive products and works directly with strategic partners. He plays a significant role in defining product strategy, including the product requirements from prospects and customers. James manages Adaptive’s relations with industry analysts and leads Adaptive’s technical response to RFPs and RFIs
Prior to working for Adaptive, James co-founded a leading enterprise architecture modeling tool vendor and served as Chief Product Officer and Principal Consultant. During this time he guided the successful development and release of a suite of products including enterprise architecture modeling tools and web portals. As part of the core team, he helped guide this company from startup to recognition by Deloitte and Touche as one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in New England. In his role as representative to the Object Management Group (OMG), James participated in the OMG Object Analysis and Design task force that developed the Unified Modeling Language (UML). In addition to his involvement with the OMG, James speaks frequently at conferences.
Chris Coyne, Executive Vice President Europe, Middle East and Asia
As Executive Vice President of the EMEA region, Chris Coyne is responsible for securing profitable growth and enhancing Adaptive’s reputation and capabilities across the region by delivering the Company’s value added solutions.
Prior to joining Adaptive, Chris was Vice President and Regional Head of Capgemini’s Business Information Management group in Europe. In this role, he leveraged his thought-leadership to develop and implement programs in Risk Management, Data Management, Data Quality and Regulatory Compliance.
Before Capgemini, Chris owned and directed his own company, which provided consulting and interim management services to SI firms. As a trusted advisor, Chris supported many Tier-1 FS firms in Europe during their most challenging technology transformation engagements. These credentials had been earned previously as a Partner at Unisys Corporation where Chris had global responsibilities, and while he was at financial firms in senior operational management roles, which included extensive M&A and BPO activities.
When not working or speaking at various industry events, Chris enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving and playing guitar. Chris graduated from City University in London as a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Kathy Martie, Director Knowledge Management and Training
Kathy brings to Adaptive almost 30 years spanning various functional disciplines, from technical and business analysis and implementation to data management.
Prior to Adaptive, Kathy enjoyed a long career at The Hartford Financial Services Group, the majority spent in IT, leading to an assignment in The Hartford’s Data Management realm. As a member of an Enterprise Strategic Data Services team, Kathy worked closely with both a Metadata Core Team and the Data Stewardship Standards Group to implement programs in Data Management, Metadata, Data Quality and Training.
As Director of Knowledge Management and Training, Kathy will focus this experience on a training curriculum and documentation base to help Adaptive’s clients become successful in their Data Management efforts.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, with a Bachelor of Sciences in Mathematics, Kathy lives in East Haddam, CT.
Unmesh Moghe, Vice President India Operations
Unmesh has over 15 years experience in Information Management consulting and implementing solutions for top financial organizations. Prior to joining Adaptive, Unmesh established and led the Metadata Management practice for Capgemini, India. He has extensive expertise in various aspects of Information Management including metadata management, data governance, data quality, data modeling and architecture. Unmesh has a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Nagpur University, India.
Unmesh is responsible for managing all operational aspects of Adaptive’s subsidiary, Adaptive Softech Pvt. Ltd., based in Pune, India.
John Mulholland, Executive Vice President Strategy
John Mulholland has recently joined Adaptive as Executive Vice President, Strategy.
His primary focus is to strengthen Adaptive’s global product and delivery capabilities. This includes, expanding the Adaptive brand and footprint as a global market leader, establishing key strategic partner relationships and alliances to accelerate growth, strengthening customer relationships and enhancing the firm’s customer services model to support Adaptive’s expanding client base.
Prior to joining Adaptive, John has over 30 years of global senior management experience in building new businesses and turning around existing businesses. Most recently John led Fannie Mae’s Enterprise Data Technology and Data Center of Excellence practice transforming the firm’s business processes and architecture to align with Fannie Mae’s strategic goals.
Prior to Fannie, John was at Royal Bank of Canada as Global Head of Reference Data where he crafted the blueprint and created a global, enterprise wide reference data organization. Before RBC, John was at Merrill Lynch in a number of senior positions spanning the functional areas of Finance, Operations, Enterprise Data Technology and Senior Management as the CAO of the Global Fixed Income division.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business and an Master of Business Administration in Finance from Long Island University.
Pete Rivett, Chief Technology Officer
Pete graduated from Manchester University (England), with a First Class BSc. Honours degree in Computing and Information Systems. During a ten year period at ICL, he worked in a variety of leading-edge product development roles culminating in Chief Architect for their Repository program.
With meta-CASE company Virtual Software Factory, and then N&P Building Society, he pioneered the use of repository technology for business metadata management. This laid the groundwork for Adaptive, which he co-founded in 1997. At Adaptive he leads the technology strategy and works on leading-edge customer projects. He is active in the OMG where he serves on the Architecture Board, co-chairs the Revision Task Forces for UML 2.0 and MOF, is technical lead for the Information Management Metamodel and has participated in most other modeling standards. Beyond OMG he is a frequent conference speaker and has coordinated Adaptive’s involvement in the European Union-funded research projects COMBINE (COMponent-Based Interoperable Enterprise System Development), ModelWare and ModelPlex.
Joe Stefaniak, Executive Vice President North American Operations
Joe has over 25 years experience in the software industry enabling companies to achieve their strategic vision through enterprise-class software implementations. Prior to joining Adaptive, Joe was responsible for leading product development at Unisys Corporation with specific emphasis on Enterprise Repositories, Business Rules Management and IT Asset Management. Joe holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from West Chester University and an MBA from California Lutheran University.
Joe has worked in software development, consulting, services and product management roles and has extensive experience in business-driven IT transformation, enterprise architecture, meta modeling, business process, methodologies and object-oriented technologies.
Joe holds 15 United States patents and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and a published author.
Jono Zimmerman, Director Strategic Communications
Jono joined the Adaptive Management Team in February 2012 to guide the company’s marketing communications efforts worldwide, including its user group activities and the development of a new corporate brand.
Before onboarding at Adaptive, Jono spent the early part of his career as an Associate at the Dilenschneider Group, a leading New York-based strategic communications and crisis management consultancy that caters to globally dispersed, high-profile corporate and individual clients. At Dilenschneider, he actively managed and consulted with the CxO leadership of more than 20 companies across multiple industries, including financial services, retail, energy and politics.
Among his many accomplishments, Jono attended the 2011 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, was an acknowledged contributor to the 2010 republication of The AMA Handbook of Public Relations: Leveraging PR in the Digital World and was nominated for PR Week’s 2010 “Top 40 Under 40″ competition.
A former two-time All-Canadian University Lacrosse player, Jono remains an avid athlete and also enjoys the urban lifestyle of New York City.
