Adaptive
is a privately held company with its US Headquarters in Aliso Viejo, California and its European Headquarters in Bournemouth, United Kingdom.
A number of leading institutions have invested
in Adaptive since its founding, including 3i, Interregnum, Unisys
and James River Capital.
Adaptive’s roots began in 1994 when the
National & Provincial Building Society (N&P) in
the UK acquired both the engineering team of
Virtual Software Factory Ltd and the software they had
developed for N&P to run on Unisys' new Enterprise
Repository product. After N&P itself was acquired by
Abbey National in 1997, Adaptive was spun off to exploit
core its meta-modeling capabilities to further develop and market
its repository-based solutions.
In 2002, Adaptive merged with the US-based Business
Analysis International to expand its activities from Europe
to North America with an initial emphasis on offerings
to the US Federal Government and Global 2000 enterprises. |
